Kristina Dragomir is a Romanian visual artist based art milliner with international status. Kristina Dragomir promotes the traditional millinery processes and the wearable art concept, thus contributing to the drawing of a fantastic image of the hat. She mixed art and millinery crafting with contemporary innovation including techniques materialising hats into sculptural masterpieces. The Kristina Dragomir Millinery work consists not only in manufacturing but also in specific research and development in this field, from head design to small sculptures. Turning the dome into fictional characters and alternatively decorating it with miniature porcelain figure like natural butterflies, pressed flowers, chips of wood, leafs, tiny stucco and up to experimenting with embossed ornaments.

Her creative processes included various techniques borrowed from decorative arts, ceramic, bronze, porcelain and glassblowing resulting in new dimensional shape.

Her hats were selected in the Museum of Contemporary Art boutique in Chicago and ‘Top 50 Best Designs Worldwide’ by WeAr Global Magazine worn by Lady Gaga, Elle Fanning, Rita Ora, Janelle Monae or Bea Akerlund.
